MTRE. OSCAR RODRIGUEZ-PACANINS

INTERNATIONAL PARTNER

International partner and managing partner of the Montreal office, Oscar is in charge of the business law department and the Latin American department. Oscar is the Wise Man of the office.

Oscar specializes in corporate law, contracts, and obligations, business immigration, and also in civil and commercial litigation.

On a regular basis, Oscar provides creative and efficient solutions to the problems and legal needs of his clients. He guides them. He helps his clients to accomplish their goals and to succeed in their plans with trustworthiness and precision.

For him, a good lawyer is one who is creative and who works diligently and with integrity.

Oscar has the law in his blood; he represents the fourth generation of lawyers in his family. His father used to joke that Oscar was rocked to sleep as a baby listening to the reading of the Civil Code.

Oscar is inspired by a deep desire to give a voice to those who do not have one, and to use the law to enhance the individual’s potential.

Oscar is a native of Venezuela, and he is therefore the interface between the Latin American and North American cultures in the office. Oscar gently reminds his Latin American clientele of the importance of punctuality, of the need to respect one’s undertakings and of the consequences of a functional system of justice. Oscar is the ideal person to guide anyone who wishes to do business in a Latin American country.

This kindly gentleman practices his Christian faith and likes jazz, the guitar, and baseball.

His motto?
The first shall be last and the last shall be first.
